A simple blog with the humble ambition of keeping in touch with friends scattered around the world, as "home" is more and more a vague concept. Motto: If-I-am-ever-in-your-neighbourhood-lets-go-for-a-beer!

Generation X & Y ?
Two nights ago... a portuguese friend calls me from Amsterdam, where he is staying for a night, asking me about a nice "coffee shop" to chill out for a bit (an internationally known expert on this topic) …
Yesterday, an old highschool friend calls me to invite for a coffee at her place, to meet her son, already a year old…
Today... 2 random strikers just came back to Madrid, from the Tomatina (www.evento.alidades.com)
We were all born in 77-78 … How I love diversity in my generation!!!

Indian wisdom...
"You can put 9 women to have a baby, but it will still take 9 months to deliver it!”
I heard this for the first time from the great Avinash an indian Java programmer, working for AIESEC in Rotterdam. Unbelievable how useful it has been in the logistics world! Fortunately, not all in life is a matter of money...

PS - T-41 days and counting...

Random holiday thoughts (I)
What is a guy standing facing a wall, with his 2 legs slightly spread, frantically waving his left (or right...) arm?
Myself pissing in a toilet with lights activated by motion sensors...
How stupid is it to put motion sensors to activate lights in a toilet??? Are we spposed to dance while pissing?!?!?!

New Year resolutions...
(written in a beach bar during a sunset...)
I always like to double check my New Year resolutions during my August holidays... This time, I did some additional research!
According to an "american study", here are the top 8 new year resolutions:
- Eat vegetables and fruits, and enjoy balanced meals
- exercise every day
- stop smoking
- go to the doctor and do 1356 medical tests
- (if you still have a liver) don’t drink too much
- don’t do drugs
- protect your self from the sun
- (if any) practice safe sex
4 in 8…!! Not too bad…

Random comments/objectives:
- Wanna meet the Dalai Lama;
- Wanna see the Hymalayas;
- Wanna see the Taj (no Christos, not the 5 star hotel!!);
- Wanna buy an indian wedding suit and use it in a dutch wedding – during that day my english will have a slight indian accent ;)
- Wanna avoid "Delhi belly" attacks in the middle of an overnight train ride;
Quite hilarious to realize my next 6-8 years holidays will be conditioned by weddings :))
Carpe Diem!
